  • Matt Stone, DVM

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Matthew Stone is originally from Springfield, Illinois, where he grew up with his parents, 4 brothers, and a plethora of animals.  It was early in life that he began to appreciate the importance of the human-animal bond.
        After high school, Dr. Stone attended Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, and was also named to multiple honors societies, and was named one of ten outstanding seniors in his graduating class.  Upon graduation, he attended Oklahoma State University and was awarded his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. 
        Between personal pets and internships, Dr. Stone has worked on a multitude of animals, including cats, dogs, lizards, snakes, birds, primates, and pocket pets.  He enjoys working with all types of animals, from large to small, furry, scaled or feathered.

  • Anna Rector, DVM

    Dr. Anna Rector is a welcomed addition to our team. She is a graduate from Ross University of Veterinary medicine. She completed her veterinary clinical rotation at Auburn University and her undergraduate studies in Biology and Animal Science at NC State. Dr. Rector is not a stranger to the veterinary industry by any means. She stepped into her vocation ten years ago when she worked as a veterinary technician, not to mention being a volunteer at the SPCA for four years as well. With her love of animals, people, and medicine, becoming a veterinarian was a natural fit. Her hobbies include horseback riding, surfing, swimming, and exercising. She is engaged to Dean Anderson, DVM and she shares her home in North Myrtle Beach with her three pets, "Lexi", a seven year old terrier mix, "Chloe", a four year old yellow lab, and "Izzy", a six year old Siamese mix.

  • Fonda Childress

    Receptionist/Office Manager 
         Fonda Childress has been a veterinary receptionist for approximately 17 years. She chose the animal healthcare field due to her love of animals and experience working with the public. Fonda has lived in the Conway, SC area for about 3 years now; she grew up in Roanoke VA. Her hobbies include fishing, reading, and spending time with her pets. She has “Isabella and M.B.,” both Shih-Tzus, “Buddy,” a Golden Retriever,” Hershey and Twix,” 2 adorable rabbits, “Milky Way,” the family Guinea Pig, 8 gerbils and to complete the family portrait her husband, Dan and 4 children. Fonda is also an individual who finds it easy to enjoy whatever she happens to be doing at any  time.

  • Deborah Mattern

    Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

    Deborah graduated in 2011 with a business management degree but knew she wanted to work in the animal field and has always had a passion for helping animals.  She has been in Myrtle Beach for 7 years but was born and raised in Vermont with a very large family, 11 sisters and brothers. In addition to multiple siblings the family had many dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, snakes, goats, cows, horses and various wildlife including a pet woodchuck and squirrel.  In her free time she runs "Raven's Rescue" in which she rehabilitates dogs and finds them great homes.  Deborah enjoys running, snowboarding, and any outdoor adventures.  She has a rat terrier "Bella" and a Rhodesian Ridgeback "Nala" who just had her second litter of puppies.

  • Jamie Ralston, RVT

    Registered Veterinary Technician    
    Jamie Ralston is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Myrtle Beach AH. She has been in the veterinary industry for approximately seven years. Her interest in animals blossomed during her childhood; she was raised on a farm in Southern Illinois and showed horses as well. She attended Long Technical College in Arizona where she originally majored in early childhood education, but her true calling prevailed and she chose her vocation in the veterinary industry instead.  She enjoys educating clients on preventative health in regards to their four footed babies as well as hands on care. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys collecting shark teeth, painting, fishing, and making jewelry. She resides in the North Myrtle Beach area with her husband and her vast menagerie of pets; Colossus a Great Dane, Junie, an adorable Beagle Hound Mix, and three felines who need no introductions.

    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Stephanie is a Registered Veterinary Technician at MBAH and is also a registered phlebotomist, degree from Horry-Georgetown College. She was raised with a plethora of animals, growing up outside of Detroit Michigan.  These including dogs, cats, and showing horses.  She moved to the coast 4 years ago and enjoys traveling and running on the beach with her recently adopted Great Dane mix "Clyde".

    Stephanie has worked as a veterinary receptionist for four years.  She is originally from Ohio and relocated 6 years ago to the Myrtle Beach area. She has always had a passion for animals and enjoys the opportunity to work with pets and pet parents alike.  Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outside, especially the beach.  She resides with her husband, and seven dogs, "Mandy", "Maggie", "Scooter", "Jasmine", "Sid", "Tater", and "Ernie".
